We recently heard from a medium-sized Certification Body, that they had no successful transitions of Clients to ISO 9001: 2015 without a Consultants’ help. This shocked us, until we realised the problem of interpretation of the new terms in the Standard. Terms like Leadership, Context of the organisation, Interested Parties, Effectiveness Measure, Risk & Opportunities are causing confusion.
ISO 9001: 2015 was published over a year ago. There is therefore less than 2 years remaining of the Transition period.
This would seem plenty of time for the changes. However, Companies have had a recent Surveillance Visit, have only one more Surveillance Audit from their Certification Body, before the expiry of their Certificate. Any business expecting that they can book a special Transition Audit...
